Creating a ripple effect from Business in Vancouver’s Forty Under 40 award
A forerunner shapes
A creator builds
And a leader empowers
In recognition of her leadership and business excellence, Sageus Collective Founder and CEO Yajing (ChiChi) Wang was recently honoured with the Business in Vancouver’s Forty Under 40 award!
As a recipient herself, ChiChi was thrilled to be able to share her plans for Pay it Forward, an initiative she started to enhance social connectedness by encouraging community members to engage in both random and targeted acts of kindness. Further down the road, she hopes to create a ripple effect in which West Vancouver’s support of Pay It Forward Day leads to similar initiatives in other geographies.
When ChiChi became a social entrepreneur, she had one goal in mind — to make a difference in the lives of others. To this day, she continues this work — driving Sageus Collective’s growth as a cross-cultural leader in building digital platforms for creativity and connection while instilling values such as sustainability, philanthropy, and social impact.
Held at Fairmont Waterfront, the awards gala ceremony featured more than 500 people in attendance, with each table cheering on its winners. It was a lively, welcoming, and inspiring evening as business leaders and entrepreneurs shared about their career highlights, best habits, and next steps.
This honour highlights the achievements of B.C.’s young entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals by recognizing 40 outstanding leaders. Winners are under 40 and have demonstrated excellence in business, judgement, leadership and community contribution.
With more than 15 years of experience in corporate marketing, thought leadership, investor relations and philanthropy — ChiChi is an established global citizen with in-depth understanding of global challenges, opportunities, and perspectives. She is also the Vice President of Communications & External Affairs of Sungiven Foods, and sits on the board of several organizations including Centre A: Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, The Kay Meek Arts Centre, and Enhance West Vancouver.
“As I get older, I am increasingly energized to share the compassion that is in my heart,” said ChiChi Wang. “For me, it’s about slowing down and taking the time to give back.”
It is an honour to highlight ChiChi’s achievements as a female leader during a meaningful time such as Women’s History Month — while collectively celebrating the contributions of women around the world.
